Week 2

Accomplishments :

 

This week we made significant progress in circuit construction, connecting all the electronic components logically on an Arduino board which has a limited number of interfaces, and testing the Manoeuvrability (here we refer it as can be programmed) of each individual part in simulation software, laying an important foundation for linking all the functions together in the coming week.


 

Problems and alternatives :

 

For the digital modeling, we had to shelve our plans of 3D printing about the supports and housing materials temporarily due to the tight quota and resource allocation at the school, and instead, adopt a more environmentally friendly recyclable cardboard, etc. as the housing and constructing material as a compensation.

Future : 


The next week, all of the individual functions that have been tested before will be packed together, which means the control system needs to be done and applied on the practice circuit. In addition, the recycling material based shell is in the middle and ought to be done, so that we could adjust the output rotating speed according to the weight of the entire device and the frictional resistance between each part.
